Schell Games is a highly talented group of artists, programmers, producers, and game designers led by game industry veteran Jesse Schell.  We like creating family-friendly games that are transformational and fun.  Presently, we focus on creating a wide variety of innovative gaming experiences including theme park installations, next generation consoles and virtual reality platforms.

We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to add to our small but growing talent team.  The ideal candidate will champion studio culture to prospective Schell Gamers, displaying strong alignment with our core values, mission statement, and studio principles.


Areas of Responsibility:


  • Build relationships and communicate effectively with hiring managers and HR leadership in order to understand staffing and position requirements, craft position descriptions, while ensuring consistency and inclusive language, and demonstrating nuance in understanding the gaming industry and technical skills required
  • Collaborate with Senior Director of HR to execute studio’s full-cycle recruitment, interview, and selection processes
  • Champion the value of an inclusive recruitment process, ensuring a top-quality, diverse and representational candidate pool, finding innovative ways to reach untapped talent sources
  • Source top-quality candidates, first-level vetting for studio culture add
  • Schedule interviews, coordinate on-site interview logistics and prep
  • Handle applicant communication regarding candidate status updates via ATS (BambooHR)
  • Coordinate data gathering of team member feedback on candidates
  • Manage reference and background check process 
  • Utilize immigration platform (Envoy Global) for candidate visa processing, and E-Verify for studio I-9 compliance 
  • Seek, provide, and address feedback in order to improve the recruiting process
  • Research recruiting process best practices, advocating for the candidate experience
  • Travel occasionally as required (industry conferences, school program site visits)
  • Participate in co-leading the studio Inclusion Advisory Committee with other HR team members and CEO
